You could always use the command + arrow keys to quickly highlight & delete text.

Using the keyboard to delete a line of text on the iPad takes forever! On my MacBook, there’s a setting. I make key repeat rates fast and decrease the delay.

You could always use the command + arrow keys to quickly highlight & delete text. Changing those keyboard settings on a Mac is pretty hardcore!
